Call for entries

The AIA Chicago Small Practitioners Group presents the fourth annual Small Firm/Small Project Award program to recognize the high quality of work produced by small architecture firms as well as exceptional small projects.

The goal of this award program is to raise public awareness of the value that architects bring to small projects and to promote small practitioners as a resource for design excellence.

Award categories

Projects should be submitted within the following categories:

  • Objects
  • 500 Square Feet and Under
  • 501–1000 Square Feet
  • 1,001–5,000 Square Feet
  • Un-built Buildings

The Small Project Practitioners encourage submissions of objects and built or un-built projects of the following types: commercial, retail, industrial, educational, public and private, and residential. We invite submissions of projects accessible to people of all abilities. Note that there are no limits on the cost of construction for any of the categories.
